As a Certified Sisterlocks Consultant or Trainee, you are part of a growing network of professionals who are well trained to address the natural hair care needs of your clients. Although you are not an employee, you have signed a binding agreement that you will offer the Sisterlocks system in the way it was taught to you and in no other way. This is your client's assurance that you are a legitimate representative of the Sisterlocks brand.
Remaining active and well informed is crucial to maintaining that professionalism. Here are some resources that will help you with that task:
Active / Inactive Timelines and Deadlines:
Are you a Trainee? Your Active period is two years from your original training date. (Example: if trained 3/18-21/2017 the active period expires March 31st of 2019) If you do not file your certification within that period you are “Late.” You can still certify in the normal way for up to 6 months, but you must pay the $50 late fee. If you still do not certify by the close of that 6 month period you are considered INACTIVE. If this happens, in order to certify you must first take a Refresher Class and prepay all fees, including late fees.
Are you a Certified Consultant? You must Re-Certify at 2-year intervals from the expiration date on your certificate. If you do not file your re-certification paperwork by that date you are “Late.” You can still re-certify in the normal way for up to 6 months after, but you must pay the $50 late fee. If you still do not re-certify by the close of that 6 month late period you are considered INACTIVE. If this happens, in order to re-certify you must first take a Refresher Class and prepay all fees, including late fees.
