(Clients deserve to know!)
*NOTE: Consultants and Trainees are independent business owners and are not employees of the Sisterlocks® Company.
That said
…
As a Certified Sisterlocks Consultant or Trainee, you are part of a growing network of professionals who are well trained to address the natural hair care needs of their clients. Although you are not an employee, you have signed a binding agreement stating that you will offer the Sisterlocks system in the way it was taught to you and in no other way. This is your assurance to clients that you are a legitimate representative of the Sisterlocks brand.

To be considered "In good standing" you must be active, uninterrupted, for at least one year with no unresolved complaints against you. Remaining active and well informed is crucial to maintaining that professionalism. Here are some resources that will help you preserve your active status:

STOP AND PLEASE READ:
EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2024, THE CERTIFICATION TIMELINE WILL CHANGE:

CURRENT GUIDELINES:
  • Trainee has 2 years from their class date to submit their certification documents.
  • Failure to do so will result in an "Inactive" status
  • To reinstate to "Active" status Trainee must take a Refresher Class, pay a late fee, and pre-pay their certification fee

NEW GUIDELINES EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2024:
  • Trainees have 2 years from the end of class to submit documentation for their first qualifying client. (Example: If active training ends in November 2023, the active period expires in November 2025 (NO EXCEPTIONS).
  • Once that documentation is submitted they have 1 year to submit documentation for their 2nd and 3rd qualifying clients.
  • Failure to submit all three clients within this period will result in an "Inactive" status
  • To reinstate to "Active" status Trainee must enroll in the "Online Refresher class with Re-Activation Fee."

CERTIFIED CONSULTANTS/BRAND AMBASSADORS:
To keep your "Active" status you MUST
submit all re-certification documents at 2-year intervals from the last re-certification expiration date.
(Example: If the consultant last certificate expires 12/31/2023, the active period also expires 12/31/2023, and the "Inactive" period starts 1/1/2024.  (NO EXCEPTIONS).

If you become "INACTIVE", in order to restore an "ACTIVE" status, you must first take a Refresher class and pay all fees, including late fees (We no longer issue Courtesy Extensions).

Check out this Quick Guide for more info on re-certification.
